Ok,

I need help figuring out the names of what file i need in BroodDat or StarDat. If anyone knows, please reply with the name of the file.

1. The background scene when you have to select gateway.
2. The Menu Screen (if you can)
3. The Lobby game screen
4. Your box on the bottom of the screen in game (like when you select a unit. That part)
5. Say if you select a barrack. And you know the pictures of a marine, ghost, firebat, etc. Shows up, what files/images are those.

If i had any more i wanted and i forgot them, ill be sure to post them.

Aight first off i'll not answer for ur everything bcuzz u would be better just
digging around rest things in MPQ file by ur self

1,2,3 question is answer pcx file i dont remember wat exactly each files name is
just search with keyword which pcx file format included in MPQ file then u could find them

4. that is wirefram.grp

edit:
5. that is cmdicon.grp and smk files

1. patch_rt.mpq -> glue\selconn\pgateway.pcx
5. StarDat.mpq and BrooDat.mpq -> portrait\*\*.smk

Ok thanks but theres one thing,

Can you edit the background of the gateway screen cause Pie_Sniper you gave me just the little box where you select the gateway.

ADDITION: I wanted the edit the lobby screen/chat screen. I have GameMaker and it can edit PCX files. But when i save it how can i get it from Game Maker file? Also i saved it as a bitmap and i wanted to open it in Paint or PhotoFiltre but i cant save images as .PCX in those programs. Can someone help me so that i can edit .pcx files and be able to put the edited ones in the mpq?

Oh you mean StarDat.mpq -> glue\palnl\backgnd.pcx?

Don't use GameMaker (what ever that is) for StarCraft editing. Use IrfranView for image converting if you don't use GIMP or something commercial
