My definition of a corrupt map includes maps with missing or damaged sections, regardless of whether or not StarCraft can run them or not.

I disagree. I hate to force you to find examples in order to defend yourself, but that is the only way I would concede this point.
The only thing that makes StarForge unique in it's functionality is terrain brushes, which are an excellent feature. There's no need to make a brand new StarForge program. Merely upgrading the current one so that it does not corrupt and remove map sections and adding some additional features would make it an ample editor.
