Stealth
I want to do a Splinter Cell Game (like the game...not THE game) And i want to put some "hiding" dark place he can hide heself. I think i will do:
P1 (the player) Disable vision (Will be like close the light)
P2 (Computer) Give vision to P1 And P3 (Will be P1, P3 light)
P3 (ennemie computer) Disable Vision (Will be like close the light)
"BUT" if P1 is in the Dark, P3 will attack him? P3 don't have their own vision, working with P2 ...
(like Splinter cell with is stealth Bar when at 0 ennemie dind't see him...)
Sry for my bad english if you don't understand tell me i will... rewrite my question.
If player 3 has vision turned off on himself, then it can't attack.
And if player 1 has vision turned off so he has to rely on player 2 as the light, that won't work, atleast for me it didn't.
But a cool trick to stay hidden is to use Starforge or SCMDraft2 and play with the Normal and High terrain. If you have a unit on the high terrain, then nothing on the normal ground can see you.
Unless you attack somehting on that lower ground.
you could do the cloak unit trick, and just switch units when they are hidden or not.
Have an arbiter in your shadow, when the unit goes there, give him the arbiter.
That's the way I'd do it. Just like in the Thieve's RPG.
I don't know for you but.... for me it's working (Yea i know im lazy but...) I try to make a practice first... it's working listen what i done:
P2 will be the light: Turn shared vision for P1 And P3
-So if I am next to the Spider mine (light) they will see me and attacking me, But if i am hide in the fog of war... they dind't see me ... walk over me...
P4 will be my night vision: Turn off shared vision to P3, Turn on...P1
-Now i can see throught the fog but the comp dind't. I can see my enemies and they can't
P3 Will be the ennemies: They have turn off shared vision with them ... need the spider mine (light) to see throught the Dark...
Im pleased! But now i got another problem... I don't know why but my damn P4 Observer (night vision) don't want to follow me....
I do:
Center location "P1" on "unit" ...anywhere (preserve)
Create 1 observer P4 Invincible (not-Preserve)
Teleport Obs P4 from Anywhere to "P1" (Preserve)
Hyper triggers
