It seems like not many people post about Flash here, so I'm just curious how many people use it and know ActionScript. I'm sure that when Flash 9 comes out shipped with ActionScript 3 that more people will learn it, as many web experts say that Asynchronous Flash and XML, made easier and more flexible in AS3 will surpass the new and popular AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML).

I've used the trial version for simple animations. The farthest I've gone into action script was a play and replay button. The replay button didn't work.

I know basic actionscript, but when I do use it it's mainly tweens. It's not efficient for web design because not everyone has the player. I just used it for a banner, and otherwise it's for entertainment.

Well i work with flash alot when i have time, mostly at games.
I can make basic shooters, i have a working TBS Heroes-like engine, and my latest attempt was an RPG system on which i had: maps, player movement, inventory and NPC shops done.
I use it for webs sometimes but it's just buttons or title gfx, i pretty much suck at making everything else in a webpage good..
So i guess i know a bit more than basic actionscripting, but still not enough so i sometimes have to use odd walkarounds in games to make sth work
Btw, adobe Flash versions suck, I started to hate adobe because they started ruining the whole thing by buying Macromedia. I still stick up with old Flash MX even though i have newer versions
