Hi guys, im nearly finished writing my game of Trivial Pursuit, which has a collection of 256 randomly generated questions. However, I'm getting an error every time I try to open the map.

This scenario is intended for use with a Starcraft Expansion Set

The problem is, I AM using the expansion set. I get an error trying to open the file in Starforge as well. What's going on??? I'm so near to finishing and this happens!

Have you tried opening the map in SCMDraft2?

i have tried using SCMdraft before, but i had problems with the mission briefings. i guess i could finish it off in the original map editor?

no you cant, units misplaced and stuff will come up major, especially if you stackes, or made on unbuildable terrain. check the .scm or .scx at the end. Is it correct?

You most likely made a broodwar unit, which starforge does not automatically compensate for by making it a .scx like the regular staredit does. Just check that

He meant "open and save" in SCMD2.

Once you do that it will most likely be fixed.

I have the same problem, i tried opening it up in SCMDraft2 but it says it has an error, and now if i try oppen it up in SF the programs messes up and the map no logner has triggers and loctions. SF eventually crashes sometimes :/

Only a few maps ive seen have had that happen to them. One i know of is a resident evil map. It says that it's an scm file, yet i need broodwar (although i already have broodwar)

Try to open and save it in SCMD[2] or X-Tra Edit (assuming that you havent stacked one unit atop another)

Mine still doesnt work, but oh well.
I've remade the map and its better, the way i seem to get this error is if i start making the map on SF, now i start making the map and terrain on SCMDraft2 and do triggers on SF then if i need to add more terrain later i do it on SCMDraft2, but doing the terrain on SF then might also work but i don't want to risk it^^ So as long as you start the Map on SCMDraft2 and make the 1st save from there it doesn't get the error (Or it doesn't for me)
