1-what folder do open 2 find grp files...u no like the exact folder cuz i don no where they r

2-i got the listfiles fer winmpq and it is still filled with the list of unknowns

thats bout it

1. the GRP files are located in patch_rt.mpq, broodat.mpq and stardat.mpq, which you'll find in your StarCraft directory.

2. In WinMPQ, go to Options -> File Lists tab -> Add Listfile. Open the listfile you want to use and it should be good. Keep in mind that some MPQs such as StarDat.mpq still have a few unknowns, simply because the correct names of those files are unknown. The unknowns in StarDat.mpq are 4 unused protraits though, so it's not a big deal.

thnx but wen u get the files fer the grp like how u get em cuz i go 2 retro grp load external file and go 2 where those files r and they dont show up

You have to extract them from the MPQ.

he still don't know about modding which is which......

Please, lay off the l33t speak... What exactly is "da mane file" that you're talking about? Do you mean the "main file", and if so, what "main" file are you referring to? The MPQs?

nvm with that ok so now i got all the grp files of the corsair and the seige tank turret

now i don think u can do wat i wana do in retro grp but i wana put the tank turret on the corsair

if u cant do this on retrogrp tell me the progam i need and explain how 2 do wat i juss asked.plz

You can do that in retrogrp, but it would be sloppy...

it would look/work better if you had it as the subunit and had it used by the iscript - the iscript's edited by IceCC or Ice

how can i do it in retrogrp

extract both grp's then copy and pasting the picture from the other one onto the unit, using black as the background color.

u no when it show u like 50 pictures of the units spinning around

when i click on 1 and clik copy and i put that on the unit i want 2 combine with it there isnt a choice sayin paste

i copied the siege tank turret and there was no option sayin paste on where i wnated 2 put it

i wana put the turret on the corsair

Well, if you can copy but not paste then you should really consider getting a new image editor

Then you should do it the other way like I sugguested in the first place

so you don't have to search...

i hav ice cc but i cant run it

like which 1 do i clik cuz ther r 2 progam files and clikin on either one doesnt work

You have to run IceCCUI.jar but you seem to require the java runtimes which you can download Here <--- The latest Version.

You might want to fix up the settings and extract a new Iscript from patch_rt.mpq or you'll have some iscript problems

to nirvana - it's strongly preferred if you explain stuff instead of posting links, don't do it unless it's something long/hard to explain.

now that i got ice cc workin wen i clik decompile its says error opening somethin that uses the units.dat

Yours it's a different case because, you are actually learning to speak english and I completely understand your case but, he isn't learning english, or is he?

That's because you need to place IceCC in a certain folder for it to work, I've tried finding a way around it but you can't.

and wat folder would that be
