Hi Red2blue... GET BACK ON BROODWAR!!!
Anyways... I think you should make a map.
A map that has units in it... and... terrain.... biggrin.gif That would be an awesome map.

Yah.. like many of the people above me... make a puzzle game...

Some action...

too many puzzles.. helpsmilie.gif I'll help you drive people insane in your map Red.. I'm very good at that; you should already know about that happy.gif.

Uh... I don't know who you are, but watch some movies/play nintendo games/watch T.V. and there's all your ideas.

Hahaha good one Death clapping.gif
But seriously... there is a bunch of truth to what you said.
There is a lot of possibilities from just what you learn and see in everyday life.

How many games there are in the world + how many movies there are in the world + how many shows there are in the world = A holy- censored.gif -that's-a-lot of sc maps. smile.gif smile.gif

I personally like nintendo games. Go with nintendo, make me mario sunshine. smile.gif

You could probably use a dragoon death for blue goop and whatever. Make sure you make some uber terrain or I won't play it. tongue.gif

For the goop, just kill a dragoon in some location out-of-view and move it to the goopy location.

I would like to see him make the Mecha-Bowser from Mario Sunshine when ur on the roller coaster biggrin.gif

Just try to find something good Red2Blue.. but dont make it now.. it'll be overshadowed by Tux's hopefully awesome map.

Oh come on... if it's mario and it's decent, then it's a good map.

I might make Zelda, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Zelda: The Four Swords Co-op, Zelda: The Four Swords Battle using a relative movement system. You don't controll the character with clicking and such, instead you will either use a dropship system or a building system(Keyboard controll).

EDIT: AND DON'T STEAL ME'S IDEA!
Because the map will suck if you do. wink.gif

Eh... While a relative movement system is relatively rare and unique, there's a good reason for that... it's not much fun. I can't imagine playing a game where all movement was dictated from building or dropship unloading. dontgetit.gif

When you're playing a Zelda game... do you control Link by selecting him and clicking with the mouse??

Like what the censored.gif ?? These maps would be AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the original Zelda games, movement, attack, items, terrain, etc. It will all be nearly the same.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mr.Kirbycode774 on 2004-08-02 at 14:51:04
Hmmmm how would you do it though?
(how would you make it that you can get close to enemy and slash without being hit? Would you make links sword range be farther than enemies?) I don't see it possible with equal range.

Would you set up moving with like burrowed lings in every screen (just like newer SNES Zelda and GB Zelda's) and have an hydra set up in the middle of each one? That's a possiblity...

Well i don't think its dumb if u move Link by clicking with the mouse, if it were, then i would say 99.9% of all the released maps are dumb closedeyes.gif

And, when u watch a movie, it usually has voice, unless its very very very old, don't u think? and not everyone carries armors and guns or are aliens, so a map were u move Link with mouse clicks can still be better than urs where u move it with buildings or a dropship. happy.gif

You COULD add a game pad and use a Civ to press buttons and move. wink.gif

I vote for a Puzzle Horror map, i love that kind (Not as much as RPG cool1.gif) specially when it has scary wavs and music and a lot of sound effects.

For the D-pad, would you use the grid system with units being gridded around the hero? You know? Center location on burrowed units of a neutral player and have link order to move there... To conserve locations...

Second one sounds good happy.gif

Edit:
Ugh, just dont use the D-Pad. Too confusing. Better just move Link with the mouse.

Make Link a DT, and use a Dropship system for his equipped item.If you're smart you can make him use the item in whatever direction he's facing.

how do u figure that?
