I think it would help out if SEN would tell you how many failed attempts there where to log on to your account,
before I've seen no reason for this, but with the new scenario of hackers brute forcing accounts, I think it should be added

Also, to make this easier for the moderators, I made a poll along with it to see if anyone else likes the idea/thinks it's not worth it.

P.S. for anyone curious what it is, it's a log that doesn't do anything but tell you the # of times someone's attempted to login on your account since the last time you've logged on.

I never log off... But it might be useful. I vote yes.

That would defenitely be useful... that way we could determine if someone was trying to crack a password again.

It would seem very useful given what just happened. Most sites with logins have them as well and they usually ban the IP of the user for a bit after about 3-5 failed logins.

They're definitely using Invision exploits. My old password was óøõ§ý—$›Aêa©y¨b_ªèkÈ LÅtNÕ±züœ¶. You just can't bruteforce that in a couple of hours. tongue.gif

If they bruteforced yours, my current pass is 2x times smaller.... ouch. fear.gif

Jesus, and I thought *I* had a complex password.

Which once again only goes to show, they used an exploit not bruteforcing; but I still think this site should have something to prevent bruteforcing (ip banning for too many failed attempts readily comes to mind)

The idea was for senv5 to show you every time and ip you used to log in... not just by actual, real logging in... but logging in with a cookie and such as well.

I like cookies pinch.gif
Anyway, Thats probably a good idea....If this ever happens again, The hacker might just have the person's password saved so he never has to log in agian.
