Ok,
I have this Windows 98 that i have and i want to fix it up. So I got a new monitor and setted that all up. Im gonna get Internet on it soon maybe but im on our xp right now. So i thought the monitor would change the whole thing into like the xp toolbar, stuff, etc. I was pretty stupid to think of that after i saw that it was the same.
My question is that is there a way for me to change it into like the windows xp type? Any help would be appreciated cause it looks very old and rundown unlike the xp.
If you cant, well...now you know im fixing up a computer!

Well, I think you can make it look like Windows XP by getting Windows XP. Nothing else for it, I think.

Well thanks....i dont wanna buy an xp because im on one here!
I want the one in my room to be like a windows xp, look like an xp.
Im doing all this cause sometimes i hog the computer here so my brother cant get on or whoever

If the computer was running Win98 then the hardware is probably ancient enough that WinXP won't run or even install on it.
Why do you want the XP look? I hate it and purposefully change my theme back to classic every time I have reinstall the OS.

You could use skinning programs, but I wouldn't. Just get XP(Pirate or buy, your choice.) or download the beta version of Vista(That is if your computer can handle either of these.)

Hmm...well i might just get the xp part not the whole thing. Or a laptop .
Also i tried to bring like SCMDraft2 to my comp upstairs using a blank cd. I put all the things needed (storm.dll, stardat.mpq) but the problem is when i use it the colors are so fckking screwed. Like when i make a new map on badlands, the dirt is all black and there are like alot of red, blue , green lines.
I wanted to make my maps on there if i could, but i guess i cant...
ADDITION: Unless i dl'ed it using the internet on that comp and maybe that will work...?
