Hilarious. Instead of doing that just go into SCXE's launcher, go to the "Additional Functions" toolbar, and select the "Symbol Pallette" option. Ta-dah.

STFU nozomu X-tra Editor doesn't have some symbols in it....I have almost all symbols Competible with Starcraft maps....I'd delete that post if i were you...

Eh..... I never liked adding the "0" before my ALT-codes, and just using straight up numbers.
Something like "ª 012458" can just be done with ALT + 0170. To find the smallest number, just keep subtracting 256 until you get it.
You can also do division and multiplying, its faster if you know what you're doing, but I'm not going to explain it.

Tell me to STFU again and you'll be sorry. And yes, it does have the symbols in it. You know the "launcher" program, where you can select one of the five modes and add in your own additional functions for easy reference? Well, it's in that program, not one of the modes themselves. Do your research and stop being a jerk to people who correct you, it'll get you nowhere.

I was just going to say the same thing, Kow. But the way to show all the symbols that work in chat/maps without them being squares, I'll show you how.
Open up Character Map, select your font at top, I guess it doesn't matter which one as long as you can read it. I choose Times New Roman though. Click the box that says Advanced View if it isn't already. After you do that, go to Character Set and scroll down to the bottom where it says Windows: Western. And there you go, all of them you can use in Battle.net chat/maps.

Wow I wish I knew about all those ways to get symbols!
Heres how I did it (feel free to laugh at me):
1) Went through all maps and my downloads folder and copied symbols.
2) Pasted all symbols in a trigger comment.
3) Then copied symbols again whenever I needed 'em.
4) Wow, I am dumb.

That is one of the useless features added to version 2.6
PS. What is wrong with windows Character Map. Ok so you don't know if it is compatable with SC or not. Anyhow if you see more than one special character per sentance it looks dumb.
Unless you have a little thing where you replace like all the Ts with a cross looking T or something (when it relates to your map)
