im trying to make a starting location have 8 frames 000 - 007. but when i compiled them to a grp it still came out to only have 1 frame. so help plz?

i would show you them but i have no idea how this forum thingy is wierd drunk.gif

You need to give it a new iscript, to make it work you should add playfram's in it with a few wait's inbetween.

You also have to edit the .ral file (created when you extract the GRP). Open it in notepad and add the other frames to the list.

Why are you editing the start location? Noone can see it...

Perhaps's he's going to use the graphic for something else and is using the start location as a convenient place to store it.

Incidentally, why are you making something have 8 frames? It won't work with normal unit animations since things usually come in groups of 17.

Buildings aren't measured by every 17 frames, they use 1.

If you want to know why, examin the 'Gfx Turns' flag in images.dat

Ah, right you are. Do remember to edit the .ral and also remember that if you add frames to a building you'll need to edit the .lo? files. Admittedly, that's not too relevant now, but keep it in mind for the future.

8 frames for a GRP...reminds me of tileset-dependent buildings. Too bad we could never do tileset-dependent units...:/
