I read a review on it, and its supposed to be very good. The writer gave it a 4 stars of 4.

From looking through the site, it looks like it is a very good movie. Plus it was Nicholes Cage.

I actually don't think it will be as great as every one says. I think its such a touchy subject that any portrayal of it will seem excellent. I think my issue is that I don't like the director, Oliver Stone, and I think it will play on the emotions of viewers.

I'll probably go see it this weekend (along with Snakes on a mother-freakin' Plane) and I can give a more adequate review then.

Dont judge a book by its cover or a movie by its trailer. happy.gif

My cover-judgings have been right most of the time. biggrin.gif

I think my main issue is that almost every supportive review has mentioned the emotional effect of the movie, and I still can't help but feel that's all this film has to offer. If you want to be depressed and reminded of a tragedy and feel you need to love America more, then WTC is perfect. It plays on the already built up emotions inside every American who remembers 9/11 and probably does everything it can to propel those emotions into one huge whirlwind of tears and sadness.

I think my girlfriend said it best when she started to cry a minute into the trailer. She said that she already knew exactly what the movie would be about and we all know what cliché outcome will happen, but she can't help but cry because she knew some one who died in the WTC and the fact that this movie exists forces her to release that built up emotional bomb.

Whoring out deaths of thousands for hollywood profits? No thanks.

I saw it. I judged this book correctly. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for this one. All in all, I'd have to say I enjoyed Snakes on a Plane more than this flick.

Yeah, the movie was surprisingly a good one about the heroism of 9/11 (according to various reviews I've read on it), but it was created to capitalize on the tragedy that gripped the United States for quite some time. Those are the people Ann Coulter should be "angry" at about cashing in on 9/11, not the widows that "enjoyed their husbands' deaths." Then again, Oliver Stone (he was the director right?) might just be feeling patriotic. I guess it could've been worse.

Yes, Oliver Stone was the director. He also did such great things like Alexander, Nixon, JFK, and The Doors [/sarcasm]. I think he likes choosing biographical stories in an attempt to really move the audience without having to do much considering the stories are already compelling without him doing a single thing.

"SNAKES HIJACKING PLANES!" is what the WTC movie SHOULD have been called.

But more seriously, it's pretty ghoulish.

Amen.

They will use anything to get profit. Including real tragedy. Moral ?...

'SNAKES HIJACKING PLANES' LMFAO

Anyway, I'd like to see this, and I'll definitely cry. I think it's worthwhile to watch, since they actually bothered to make a movie like this. It isn't going to be one your every-day movies, like 'Snakes on a Plane', or 'Saving Milly'. Probably one of those...uh...sad emotional heroic type of movies. In other word, a disasteric type of movie that focues on the heroism and make sit emotional just to get money. I think that's...kinda sad, for the director...trying to make money off a terroist plot.

I bet he's even hoping that they will blow up the world next so he can make a movie :/

This is all for the money. The makers dont give a crap about the people that had family members/relatives who died when the two towers crashed. I think their queers to make this movie! Enough already people jesus! pinch.gif
