Here.

Open the MPQ.

Find the .wav you want to replace.

Replace it with your own .wav, saved as exactly the same filename.

Run.

What did you do? Add the PLAYLIST from Windows Media Player? .wpl != .wav, and .wpl is a playlist extension. Find the individual sound file and copy it into the MPQ.

The music itself is on the cd.

to change the music while in the starcraft selection area like choose single or multi and then all that stuff is simple, just go into the patch_rt.mpq or the mpq you are working on and put your song into the mpq titled like this:

music/title.wav

now its in the mpq archive as music\title.wav so it should work right

it should work, but I think starcraft requires it's .wav files to have a certain format.
