Where'd you see any meanness, FireKame? In the symbol map discussion I was just pointing out how you can easily find the info Scorpion was presenting, and that he didn't have to do all of that work. He was pretty mean to me, actually, now that I think about it.

The only time I hold someone's being mean against them is when it's unjustified. If I've made a mistake or been a jerk then it's fine, go ahead and call me on it. But in Scorpion's case I was just adding to the discussion. I won't stand for that kind of meanness because it isn't a valid way of conversing or making a point.
I think that it's mostly in the Off-Topic forum. I've seen Bolt and Salacious have it out once or twice in the StarEdit sections of the forums, though.

It's the problem of the growing site. Idiots are bound to get in. It started with intelligent good people, who passed it on to others. Then eventually, it gets widespread and the type of person that tends to find their way here declines. As the age and popularity of a site increases, so does the incoming flow of newbs.
