So, today is results day for A-level exams in the UK (A-levels are like college graduation exams).

I don't know my results yet, but I just checked their online service and it says that my first choice university has accepted me! Just thought you'd like to know.

Good on ya mate!

I was accepted into my top choice, (Jons Hopkins if you must know) but then I saw the price to go there and decided on my local college instead.

Just went to college to fetch my results - they're not bad, although I would have been happier with straight As.

History - A (solid A)
Biology - A (very strong A as well)
Chemistry - B (bah!)

It's too bad I'm working tonight and can't do the usual graduation celebration (get drunk).

congrats. i dont know you but if you got into the university of your choice then yeah good job. i personally want to go to college because its generally more practical work, its cheaper and i don't have to travel miles to find one :l

I just wish in 3 years I'll be accepted to a good college... if only my grades were good... then I'd AT LEAST have a shot at MIT

MIT only accepts 14% of applicants. 97% in top 10th of graduating class. 100% in top quarter of graduating class. 100% in top half of graduating class.

Rantent, I heard (since my sister is going to college next year) that if you get accepted to one of those 30k schools, they help set out plans for payment and even reduce the price. My mom's friend's son got into a school for 30k and only had to pay 11k after all of the things were sorted out.
