I'm making a bound and I want to have double explosions in each level.
I've tried some combinations, but I don't like any of them. A few years ago I saw in multiple bounds some nice looking double explosions, but when I try to do something similar it doesn't look good at all.
One of the things i'm looking for is an "orange" explosion. The way I remember it, is having a protoss air unit and a terran (mechanical) unit.
I've tried combinations of Arbiters and Siegetanks, and Wraiths and Archons, but the few combinations I tried didn't produce the "orange" explosion.

I combined a Wraith and a Probe to make the usually red Wraith explosion a little bit brighter, and ... a bit... pink ? 
Well, anyway, don't use big ground units for bounds because they block you a little bit. Of course, if you're making an easy bound, you can ignore what I said and go for the good looks of the explosions, but if you want to make a difficult bound...don't block the bounders !

orange explosion? If you have SCMDraft, you can just place different combinations of units then go to options then animate unit death then delete them. I did that. It was fun.

I tried different combinations with the Ice Tileset. Try Battlecruiser + Archon.
Science Vessel + Reaver. They are the closest orange to me.

Use neutral units. They look good.
Also if youve seen like Hallucination Death and recall, those are cool too. I recomend Hallucination Death and neutral units.
