I use Stardraft SE to compile and decompile my GRPs because RetroGRP
A) corrupts them and
B) stopped working recently.
Anyway, whenever I try to compile a new version of Acid Spray (thingy\plasma,) it gives me the error: "A fatal error occured. Possible causes are: Frames were not saved as 256 color RGB or the INI file is corrupted."
I use Photoshop Elements to edit my frames (too cheap to buy the real thing.) I open the bmp, edit it, and save it as an indexed, 8-bit .bmp under the original name in the correct folder. Since the new graphic only has 4 frames, I set the "FrameCount" in "plasma.INI" to 4. And it keeps giving me the same error. I'd successfully done this before, and the new files have the same characteristics as the other ones, but can't remember how I made it work...
check off RLE encode in save as BMP options
do like that save again all files and re try
I tried that. It didn't work.
As a side note, everything in the .ini is default except for the frame count.

Then check out ini file which every varriables as right
I did this same thing a while back, and I just checked the ini. Everything is the same as the one that worked except frame count, so I think it's something about the pictures...
No, it compiles other files fine. Something about these pictures seems to be off...
check tutorials db. link in sig.
You think I haven't already? First place I looked.
Ive had that problem with retro grp too someone should really update that program
