I would really like a way to change a .tbl file to a text format. In some tutorial somewhere King Arthur mentions using tblEdit which i have searched for and cannot find

Thnx guys. I already have that but tried saving as a .txt and it didn't work. But now i feel stupid because i forgot to change save format before so i was getting stat_txt.txt.tbl.

What that tutorial was speaking of, was the StarDrafts built-in TBL editor, called TBLEdit. It had the option to export a TBL as a text file, but it worked only for the TBLs inside CWAD archives (old and abandoned modding format), so it's no use now, given everyone moved to MPQs. You may ask/PM ShadowFlare for adding this feature to TBLPad, if you want.

TblPad does have that feature. It's just potatoes that forgot to change the format to .txt.

What can't you change save to type every file and write out .txt?

Because the program was not made to have that feature. It can write out .txt's, don't make it more complicated than it needs to be
