Download
Download!Um, the Links must be under 256 Characters for standard GET requets.
Make it for OS9 too if you can. I can't get classic installed on my iBook, so i can't use the editor on it.
I read somewhere that the -nc are the tilesets read by Staredit. I don't know what the difference is, but it is probably unimportant since neither Installation nor Platform have -nc versions.
the second link is Toooo small.
Where are you reading the tiles from? Are you actually reading from the MPQ, or files from the MPQ? Jeez...
No it's currently reading them as a array in a php file. any way three tiles types are done.
Tile graphics are not PHP arrays. Where are you getting the tile
graphic?
No Pie sniper decompiled the cv5's for me.
ADDITION:
I have started on the interface! Yay! tiles arn't done yet though.
It's going to be a java interface! Java ftw! I'll upload a test once I get further.
And can I have this stickied?
Just so you know, java is a female dog to work with.
On PC's
not macs
are you just making a terrainer? or you gonna eventually make it a fullout editor?
Terrain at first then it will be full out
with a java web ap it'll be easier to port it to the desktop too. give me a sec and I'll have a demo up.
eh it double posted.
ADDITION:
Ok interface start is up!
http://wg.yoshiklan.com/aaaa/java/test.htmlWill your terrian be square based, isometric based or both? if Isometric based, how on earth have you figured out the ISOM section. SI, the only one [besides blizzard] to figure it out, had to disassemble Staredit and had an insane amount of fun with assembly and memory locations! I think it was about a years worth of fun. Either that or you created your own system.

Only if you know nothing.
It'll be square based so you do ISOM in staredit.
This is my first java applet!

big project for you then
Ya but I've coded other things so I get it preaty good I just don't know all the commands but thanks to my compiler when I type it helps me by show the commands!
Any way I haven't uploaded the current one yet I will soon though. I'm gonna try to make a java SormLib for when I make the desktop version.
Would any one like to help me? I still don't know all the tiles hex values all I need is for you to help me find it and you'll get credit for the help, it will also make it go 5 times faster then me just trying to find each of them myself, and making the whole script.
I'm your number one fan for this project.
Lol hi matt.
Any way I've found the code for opening files now to open the maps... I'll start .chk first then move onto mpqs.

When you look into MPQ's I heavily suggest looking into Stormlib. It is an Open Source C++ MPQ API. You'll probably end up basing most of your code off that. Encrypting\Decrypting, Compression\Decompresson, and Hashes are...well yeah... base your code off that or prepare to have the time of your life!
That's what I was going to to but thanks for teh tip. My stormLib code has a mac port.
...how did I not notice this earlier?
I guess I'll be rooting for IanMM for now, since SCM Draft Mac doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
