I have been trying to do this on an RPG map I have been working on. I want to make it so a player can walk through a certain spot but as their walking through it they can't see their unit in that location. It has been done in (U)Bolt_Head's Haunted house map. Sorry if this has been posted before, I didn't find much on the subject. Thanks.
Use a trigger to turn vision off for themselves and then vision another player that has sight area of what the players are to see.

Alright, I get it now. Thanks. Kow, thats so they can still see around themselves just not in that specific area.
Same technique is used in Legacy of Haen. Might want to look at that if you want and how he used the darkness element. Very well done.
