Really weird... No matter what I type into the box, if I close and go back (or even if I don't) what I just typed magically transfers itself to the title, overwriting what was there before.
It seems to only work on my map I just finished making, so it seems to be something I did. I tried deleting the string to see if there was some crazy conflict somewhere, but with brand new ones, it still does it.
I can edit the description fine in other editors, but they like to remove my units that are stacked... To get those back would take a bit, then I'm sure the problem would just come back again.
Anyone get this too? It's a tough problem to search for too, since most of the keywords I can think of are in every topic, completely unrelated.
Its possible you have hit the string limit, but I would think it would give you an error message.. did you try changing it in scmdraft?
Well, I have like 110 strings, so I shouldn't be hitting the limit soon, plus I can make new ones, and deleting other strings doesn't change anything.
Maybe this should be moved to the StarForge forum, instead.
The name and description string pointers seem to have been crossed somehow. This might have happened if you ever made them the same string at some point. If you post the map, I (or someone else with good CHK editing skills) can fix it easily.
Cool, though it didn't seem to be one string used for two things, since that happened to me before and I fixed it. Unless it's another way of expressing it...
Thanks, though, please see what you can do.
Not that the descript is that important, but I want to at least look professional when I make maps. >_>
Here ya go. The description string ID somehow became 0, though I have no idea why it was getting copied to the map title...
Sweet, thanks, I can finish my map now!
Btw, why are other people downloading this...? >_>
Glad to help. I removed the attachment from my post too, so no one else can get it.
