An RPG map on jungle terrain 256x256, with eight hero choices (three straight spell casters, on shape shifter, four differant styles of combat heroes) that will all have special abilities, it details the story of Sayet and Shoal by casting them as the enemies of the map, pursued not only by the players, but also by various NPC heroes that will aid and contribute at various points in the game depending on the player actions.

Currently plans are for muliple endings depending on player choices at crucial points in the storyline, with a twisting storyline that defies the typical of starcraft rpgs and may actually cause someone to become interested in what happens next instead of just trying to get back to killing enemies.

The map is still in the very early phases, but for the most part all of the technical pieces of the map are in place (hero choices, their abilities, etc.) and there is a very small amount of the story built into the map. The terrain is nearing completion but will probably not be finished off completely until the map is almost finished in it's entirity.

This was originally planned as a finale to a three map series, but after having done this for a while, i would have had to redo my previous two maps so much just to bring them up to par with this one that it's no longer worthwhile. While people who have played the previous two maps will benefit slightly by way of story understanding, it's not even close to necesary to understand what is going on and most of the aspects that happened previously will probably get recapped into this somehow anyways.

Hopefully i can manage to create a map with more interest on storytelling then any other aspect and keep it interesting and enjoyable. ^.^

Just be sure to not have too many choices on the map when they use a plenty of text strings or you'll end having to remove lots of things to complete it.

Sounds cool so far, we want some screenshots!!

I would like some screen shots too... but you can't upload pcx files into average forums and things, you need to get a program( you probably alread have one ) to convert or save as to another file type such as gif or jpeg. Then at the bottom of the reply box, attach the file and you're done. smile.gif
