Before I started on this map I had done 2 like it, 1 which was a smaller "survival" type map and another which was originally meant to be put online; but the files were erased on my computer - - this about 2 years ago. Please be severe in how you judge my map, but know that no changes will be made to this map as it is exactly as intended. If you have trouble finding a way to beat it that is your disadvantage. However I am considering a sequel and would not mind feedback or comments. The main point for other players in the game is to help nova, and there will be plenty for everyone to kill, and everyone will play a part I'm sure.

-Included is a Pc ready attachment for Nova .'. The First Mission(all sounds)
Nova Volume I

QUOTE

TITLE:Nova .'. The First Mission Nova Volume I

Story:

After Crash landing her Battle Cruiser Nova must gather her small strike force to counter the alien threat on an intersystem military space station.  Nova must search the station and clean up the zerg infested station while trying to find out who the perpetrater is to the station's demise...  Good thing she's newly outfitted with her full suit.    Of course it's her fault for crashing her BC, but Nova and her crew don't have time to point fingers as they look to counter this new zerg threat, save the station, its soldiers, and give the zerg hell.

Nova .'. The First Mission

I have spent a little time on this map but I don't think it could get any closer to what I want so I decided it was time to post.

ask how you can support and encourage these maps:  JinX, Carnage-ie Hall, Pending Nova prequels, sequels and so on.

Specifications

-Players: 2 to 3 online/lan

-Map Terrain:  Space Platform

-Map size: 128:128

STRATEGIES:

1) Avoid as much damage as you can, run from huge groups and heal quickly from your inventory.
2) Make sure not to waste any of your inventory items.
3) If you don't know what your doing try to look for clues on the beacon or buildings, and most importantly in the text displayed.  Smaller hints are included in the story ussually such as when you first get an energy pack.
4) If you save your health packs for the end sequence, AND have more than 100 kills there is a heal activator(templar which you move onto the teal beacon to automatically heal you every 9 to 15 seconds; However you should still not depend to much on the healer as it will drain all your health packs from the inventory if you leave it unchecked.
5) Play with a group of people, there is more safety in numbers;Only remember to use strategies over Force.
After you make it to the end of the level you will watch one last cutscene before You win.  If you already saw the ending stay for people that haven't, maybe they want to know what happens.

Other Featured:

*Working sounds add to the game.
*Characters have conversations and there is a story-fanmade of course blizzard.
*Ability to commandeer a tank by a marine(fully upgraded), Ability to commandeer a wraith by a marine(fully upgraded), Ability of Nova and other Ghosts to commandeer a Battle Cruiser(ghosts must be fully upgraded).
*There is one location in the game where you can upgrade units if they aren't upgraded already.  The 2nd and 3rd human players (not nova/player 1) start out with 2 units and the enemies in the starting area are the easiest to kill because otherwise the 2nd&3rd player would be overwhelmed and always die. You have the option to upgrade your party at the middle of the game -- just before the enemies become significantly stronger and smarter.  The more people that you can get together for a game the better as you will need to strategize together to find a way to win.  Single player is possible but about 50-90% harder even now that I have added a unit for Nova(spoiler_).
*There are large forces of enemies in this game, I have remedied this with a heal trigger which you can use judged on how well you are doing in the game.  Every X number of kills you get what I am calling a health pack.  To use health packs, you must go to what I will call your inventory, and move your health pack to the beacon for your player bringing your health to full.
* For ghosts I have created a similar system as you will be able to cloak Nova or any other Ghost in the game. Every detail is fleshed out in the game.  But just to eliminate confusion, health packs are civilians and given more frequently than Energy packs which are Probes.
The Item inventory is at the top left near the top of the screen and will be shown throughout the game for obvious reasons.

Characters: Nova is the main Character, Brian her consort, and Senior Scientist Ivanov.  Also the marine Jamie Santeras, and a random firebat.

Vehicles:

Seige Tank, Wraith, Battle Cruiser

-Enemies:  Zerg, approximately 466 total
map physically maxed out and units strategically placed to give a sense of intelligence to the ememies faced.

You gottta add [/color] tags to close or it just won't work right.

Besides, there's a template anyway.

I do hope people atleast try it. I'm not saying you'll like it or hate it, it's just kind of a through back from the usual doldrum of other rpgs ive played on BNET I don't like many of them honestly, and I thought I could bring a few new cards to the table but we'll see if anyone will even play it first.

And BTW OWYN, MY map is not a trick map like yours, it's is actually more like a multiplayer campaign per say.

ADDITION:
So what do you all think? Give me a short rundown or something.

Here is a great excerpt from the new nova book, it hasn't come out yet... so look for it come November... Nov-ember, the author of the book seems to have alot of experience writing backstorys for games, and books based off of games.
Check it out here:Nova book excerpt
Generate buzz by supporting the book, They sell them at amazon.com, Mine's already payed for and just from the excerpt I don't think I'll regret it for only 12 dollars.
