Thanks to everyone for coming out and having a great time at Map Night. We are attempting to resurrect the weekly event due to the low quality and perverted maps being hosted on battle.net these days, and trying to replace it with some challenging and innovative classics and new maps that people create. This week we had almost 25 people in the channel when we started, which nearly required us to use two channels (it has happened in the past). Especially considering the late notice I gave everybody, I am very surprised at the high attendance.
Map night unfortunately died out due to the fact that nobody at SEN continued to maintain it, but still has a page over
here. You are welcome to come every week into the op SEN channel to chat and play with us. No registration or anything required, just come in and host/join games that are being created.
Although many people enjoy coming to chat with other mappers, I encourage them to create games to keep map night going. If nobody is creating anything simply ask and make suggestions to get a good game going. Especially when the channel is almost full, as a consideration to others please make and join games. Do not sit bots in the channel or leave your computer while being in the channel as space fills up fast in there - measures such as idlebans and such may be taken if that is the case.
I'll see you all weekly in op SEN at 6:00pm EST every Saturday. I know school is coming, but we have map nights on weekends for a reason. Everyone can come out for an hour or two in the evening on Saturday and have a bit of fun. Besides, who actually DOES their homework on Saturday anyway
