ive been editing the graphics and adding them to the mpq archive and all of a sudden it stopped adding them b cuz it says there r 16/16 files
wat do i do
do i need to start multiple archives??????
You probably created the MPQ with the MPQ compactor, right? The MPQ compactor makes MPQs as small as possible by limiting the number of files you can have, that's why you're getting this problem. Just use the MPQ compactor to put your graphics into your MPQ instead of WinMPQ. Or you could do the whole thing manually using WinMPQ. It's a bit difficult to use both at the same time.
thnx but i dont no how to start an mpq using winmpq.......i no im a noob lol
but i use winmpq to add all my files
File->New...
Then use the "Add Folder" button and select your folder. If everything is in the right path and you don't enter anything in the "Path" dialog box, it'll add the folder as is, so everything should end up fine.
Theres a "New" button in the action bar.Yo ucreate a new folder than adds tuff to the MPQ.
thnx i got it now my mpq has more files
ADDITION:
not again
it can only hold 19files now wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh noes
Maybe if you clicked on
Options... and changed the maximum files from 19 to 1024...
Note: this limit will only effect
new MPQs, the limits will remain the same for openned MPQs.
yes thank u that rewally helped man i didnt even notice that lol!!!
ADDITION:
how much kb can the folder hold cuz i got to 5200kb and then it stopped adding files
...you mean the MPQ?
If so, it should be able to handle up to about 2 megabytes...this sounds like a computer problem.
5,200kb is 5.2mb, TERRAINFIGHTER.
But StarDat.mpq has like 80 megabytes or something, doesn't it? (I don't have SC on this computer.)
...I thought you said 520...
And I'm pretty sure StarDat is only 2mb, but I can't really check it to find out...
Maybe you need to fill your MPQs up with less junk? If they're bigger than the originals, then that's a pretty big problem...
thats why because my mod is going to have custom music but i have to do it last because i need room lol
I just checked; StarDat.mpq is 62.5mb.
Try using the "Compact" function in WinMPQ. It helps sometimes.
