Lately, my SCM Draft has been acting up. It's rather annoying because it freezes every 20 minutes. Also, I tried creating a new map and for some reason it said "Error cannot create temp file" and then gave me "Error cannot create map". What's been going on? I even redownloaded it.

Well the problem was the autosave feature. I disabled it and it works fine now. Howcome it randomly started acting up?

The new patch might read the files differntly causing the autosave to corrupt

I've been using it since the patch for a long time now. It just started acting up a few days ago. I can't create new maps either, I have to make it in SF and then open it in SCM Draft.

i have something to add, its related to saving problems so i hope urmom doesn't mind me posting in here.
anyhow, as of 10 minutes ago, SCMD2 can't save. it gives an program has terminated in an unusal way error.

ADDITION:
Well creating a new map attempts to create a new temp file via windows API, if that fails it makes one in the scmdraft directory, I dont see how it could fail short of disk full or permission settings, but if you want send me a PM with AIM or MSN handle. THen I can send you a custom versiondebugging the create new map process

which version do you have now? the one with mission briefings or the normal 0.6.0 prerelease 2?

I didnt touch one line of the create map code between those two versions, there is no reason it should work now if it didn't before.

oh well, if you are gonna use the new version do me a favor and watch for bugs, if you have time to do alot of testing I can add you to IM contacts and keep you up to date with the newest version

Ok, I was a beta tester for SCM Draft a while ago too. I already found a bug with the switch editor, it deletes the last letter on what you name the switch to.
