Basicly,I'm trying to give teh Defiler its Unused weapon "Venom".just doing some basic editing didn't help,so I tried using Memgraft/Stargraft.Those 2, not being user friendly didn't help.I believe the only way out is to use IceCC,but I'm new to Iscript ediintg,any help anyone?

The defiler actually already has ground attack animations, so all you have to do is add the attack in datedit. The only problem is, he won't have an attack button, so you can
a) Right click to attack b) Let it attack on its own c) Group it with any other unit and use the attack button from them.

Of course, with *Graft, you can add an attack-button which works just fine. You'll have to wait for FireGraft...

Also, make sure to set its AI Actions in units.dat to:
Guard Guard Guard Attack Unit Guard Normal Movement/Normal Attack

Just give him am attack button.. that should do it.. however kk's idea was clever, grouping it with another units that attack nice one kk.

I got that from Farty, and the other units don't have to have an attack. Farty suggested using an oberver, so I do that.

Ok. I must be retarded. I've tried doing the exact same thing with Arsenal ZERO (which has the same functionality of DatEdit and Arsenal 3) and it just crashes whenever the Defiler attacks something. To clarify, I have: -Set the Defiler's attack to Venom (ground and air) -Set its AI actions to Guard, Guard, Guard, Attack Unit, Guard, Normal Movement/Normal Attack

What did that mean? Set its targetting flags for ground/air, whichever you want it to hit. The animation names sometimes have nothing to do with what they actually accomplish--GndAttkInit for weapon sprites is really "Is moving to target."
