'Cloud is tired of bein noob'

Meh, that's..alot of sprites..

I'm a noob at terrain, also.

Hehe..I can't really offer any critism except for the sprite part..and uh..the pillar is kinda...cool, but it doesn't fit all that well.

*Shakes head in disgust*

You guys and your ways of grading...

First of all I would like to stat this...I am also new at terraining and I seem to know a little more than you...

1) There are way too many sprites on it...too many...ugh
2) What are those spells trying to act as? Is that some kind of cheap waterfall?
3) Why didn't you use the palette?

I do not like to scale it but I can say it looks okay and keep trying!!!!

Up until the last few weeks of summer i was a terrain n00b. Im not a pro now, but im just ok i guess. Honestly only one thing helped me: Stare at the tiles in ISOM. Thats all i did for about three hours. I just made isom terrain and stared at it. Then i tried doing high dirt to water. I did the two front sides and got stuck, but a few weeks later i was able to finish it. Bridges are by far the easiest things to blend to dirt in jungle. Start with that, good luck.

High dirt to water should be able to be done within 20 minutes of opening StarForge. If it can't I'm not saying you'll never be good at terraining, you'll just need lots and lots of practice.

There are several tutorials on terrain in the database. See if any of those help you...

Also try looking at the pieces found in the Terrain Ladder by your fellow peers!

Okay this is pure custom, I actually first saw Woodenfire use this(he probably wasnt the first person but the first person I actually saw use it) so I decided to try it myself and it actually turned out not too bad.

1 thing I noticed is that its easier to custom the the doodad's then it is the regular Isom, the reson I know this is because the doodad's are organized while the rest is all of the the place(at least to me it is).

The rest is organized, just train you eyes. Now that you have reached the limit of bridges with bridge tiles, you need to fix them up with temple walls, and ruins.

Could you give me a link or make me an example of that, I'm not sure what you mean.

Ruins can blend with jungle, dirt, and bridge tiles. Temple can blend with bridge sides. It's for prettyfecation.
