Hey Im New To SEN but some of my maps if u even wana try to dl them are pretty kool (i jiuce them up with alot of music) i tryed to send one to SEN once but it was too big so i sent beta version but it was unfinished
WELL SCREW MY INTRODUCTION AND DOWN TO THE POINT!!!
Im Planning On Making A New Def/RPG Type Map That Should BEND the Rulz Of SC In Terms Of Terrain...
I Plan To Make The Following And More biggrin.gif
Submerged Buildings (sky scrapers)
Under Water Battle Zones (thnx to a frend for showing me this trick)
Docks
Longer Stair/Ramps
Most of you has seen this censored.gif before, but has any body but yoshi put it ina map???
im still on terrain (plan to make to at least 33% of the map) But it will probably be realeased before chrismas (school slows censored.gif up alot) ill make a trailer soon... MABEY A DEMO ohmy.gif

Mmmm....sounds interesting. Keep in mind that (U)Bolt_Head and Tuxedo-Templar are making RPG maps too...

thats y i said *DEF*/rpg its mostly defence i call it some what RPG becuase u can upgrade ur stats and there is a some what RPG like story line to it...
BTW i dont even PLAN on getting an RPG as good as Tux's thats impossible... but (u)bolt_head... i havent played any of his maps but i bet hes pretty good too u see i been playing SC for 6 years but editing for only 2 happy.gif
BTW is a demo good???

Well..you see..a demo has 3+ ways that it can go. Either you release the demo, and people like it, people don't like it and that might ruin your map's reputation, or people don't care at all. Demos/Trailers are good for RPG maps....but if your map is both that would seem sort of weird.

id say only 20% rpg u see its like u can trvel around and level up by doing different missions but... there r still main assaults on ur main base

For The Battle System I plan to make the attack speed 2x to make it more realistic
(in real life a marine doenst pause every shot)

and for submarine warfare i might use the Darkswarm system to target enemys and fire torpedos also i might try it with disrubtion web cool1.gif btw if u havent already watchted the anime seires Blue Subamrine #6 u shuld its good

Good point who cares if Bolt and Tux are making RPGs? I don't mainly since they will be too big for bnet and if every1 does dl it elsewhere it will lag alot probly and ruin the game experience. Plus any you ever heard of Quest for Camelot or Death Knights 1 and 2 mind you those are good RPGs just you never hear bout them b.c there makers arnt as open on the spreading of there maps and dont have sites like this. If i can find them in my map folder ill sumbit them for DL they are really good RPGs.

Sounds like a really cool idea...but you are going to have an underwater battle zone? The only way i could ever think of doing this is to have pylon auras make the illusion of water...Oh and on the demo/trailer idea you might want to make one and then have people on staredit.net review it first to see if they think it's good enough to be released to the bnet public, instead of releasing it and people not liking it...

Actualy, there are two other methods of water battlezones, though I'd rather not tell them right now, and hope no one else does.

Hm... this map idea, in some respects, sounds quite similar to the Rpg Defense I was planning on making.

Keep in mind, though, a few fancy terrain features doesn't automatically make a game professional. You will have to develope the plot just as much as you have developed the features.

hey sorry i wasnt posting but ive been having problems with my connection and i had to fix it tongue.gif any ways here is more info about my map
UnderWaterBattleZone:seems that yall interested in this... I plan on using pylon auras but... seems that my starforge wont work and they GAY limit of sprites on SCM daft wont left me use them BUT... i got another idea (might be longer to do though)
Ill have screen shots soon as they r available my map is only SOME WHAT playable now and since im AVERAGE done mean it will suck (i just have to figure some censored.gif out 1st)
after reviewing my plans im shifting this towards an enlongated Defence map and less RPG style... since the main area of combat takes up alot of the map...

Map Features so Far:AA Turrets-One Of Your Early In The Game You Will Be Posted Ontop Of A Partialy Submerged Skyscraper with a AA turret (defiler) i aint copying tuxedo's lil defilfer gun trick cuz i found this out before i played his map happy.gif but any ways u will have to shoot down some enemy targets.
Also Im Still Trying To See If This Works But I Might Use The Darkswarm Firing Trick With A Corsair... Might Make A Nice Idea

STORY:I wont go too much indepth here but it has to deal with a world war 3 and a nuclear holocaust wich puts alot of chemicals in the air and destroying the ozone layer alowing more heat to come inside the atmosphere of the earth but the atmosphere still traps most the heat on the inside regardless of the missing ozone. this in turns raises the heat (known as the greenhouse effect) this inturn melts the polar icecaps and floods the world... but this doesnt stop the war...
