So basically the idea for this is: There are a bunch of heros in an arena, which users can choose.
There is another player who has defilers surrounding the arena.Basically they cast dark swarm
somewhere in the arena, and an enemy appears. This enemy locks onto one target hero that the player
controlling the defilers can change. When the enemy touches the hero he dies, and so he has to
run away while other heros attack the enemy. But the enemy can switch targets, so they have to be prepared.
Again I stress that this is just a basic idea.

I was thinking of using this in a minigame arena, like mario party, but am very busy making maps right now that it wouldn't be finished in a long time. So I was wondering if its a good idea and/or if anyone would like to prove themself by taking up the challenge. king.gif

Here's mine:
QUOTE(GoldenKnight @ Aug 9 2006, 11:31 PM)
In a tactical squad type of map, instead of players controlling most (or all) of the squads, teach players will have some computer squads with customizable commands and modes.  The computer units in each squad will have attacks, techniques, follow, retreat and other commands with customizable settings per player's section.

Example: A 6 marine, 4 firebats, and 2 ghosts squad with these orders:

-The firebats and 4 of the marines will defend the squad at all times.
-The 2 remaining marines will use the technique "grenade" when 5 or more enemy
units are nearby.
-The ghosts will switch to medics when they run out of ammo.
-The squad retreats to refill ammo when less than 3 armed units remain,
unless suicide more is on (each unit group shares a stash of ammo).
-The squad will retreat, when less than 5 units remain, to form another squad
before reengaging back into battle, unless suicide mode is on.

Is this idea any good?

However, this does qualify as easily obtainable information, and according to Moose's FAQ, is against the rules to ask for easily obtainable information.

Spamming:

Easily Obtainable Information:
Asking for information easily found in someone's profile such as birthday, Battle.net gateway, etc. In the end, it is up to the user to fill in information if they choose.

I'm afraid that I will never protect my maps for the following reasons:
1. They will never be popular enough to steal.
2. I will know that I created the original.
3. There is no protection software for the Mac.
4. Protecting your maps restricts the activities of newbie mapmakers trying to learn the trade.

Sadly, my actual first post can never be foud, because I had another account for some time. I then told Moose about it when I stopped using it, and it was deleted. So, I can never tell what was MY first post.

But I'm 100% sure it was noobish. I didn't use capital letters, made a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes, said stuff like "cuz", and "u"... but then I changed within about a week.

To CW: I don't believe that you were a noob. Also, I don't believe that you had a childhood. You were born already adult. tongue.gif
