Let's define spam according to the site rules, shall we?
http://www.staredit.net/1337v5/?p=faq&do=view&id=3"Adding Garbage to Posts: Unecessary elements or extra characters or statements increasing post length. Something you want in every post belongs in your SIGNATURE, and using post space to store extra stuff is considered spam."
I think that the random string of characters in the first post fits that. The massive string of periods fits as well for the second post.
"Off-Topic Posts: Off-topic posts don't contribute to discussion or even relate to the current subject. For example, a topic about the advantages of flourescent lighting probably shouldn't be in a debate about the theory of evolution."
Both posts are pretty much offtopic except for the "on topic" part which you denoted yourself. Might I suggest only posting the "on topic" parts?
Also, use using private messages rather than posting a topic.
