ok modders i wish you to take a look at this large map that is being made as we speak right here http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=34507 i need 3-6 modders 1-2 for each race, anyone who plays this will obviously need SCMLoader, but please take a look before you just shut this down. Thank You.

I'd love to help but I'm afraid I'm not familiar with "SCMLoader". If it's an advanced map editing tool (like SCXE) than I'm in the clear there. Also, I'm afraid I really can't help on any non-mpq mods (such as CWAD or Memgraft patches).

Looking at your linked topic, I think you're asking for a little too much. A 3-6 man team is most definitely NOT sufficient for a complete Total Conversion. You will need graphics experts and sound makers and animators and overall engine specialists. I am also realizing that if you want to re-do the tech trees or even change buttons I won't be able to help much, as none of that can be done via MPQs.

SCMLoader is a tool by ShadowFlare that allows you to encapsulate .dat files (and maybe other modded files--I don't remember) within a .sc*. Then, when you run the map with SCMLoader, the files patch through and mod the specific map you're playing.

Ah...

For a mod of this magnitude, I doubt you could include all the necessary changes into said map file. The size would be through the roof, even if it does work.

firegraft doesnt work with scmloader, scmloader takes normal maps in normal starcraft and takes the mod files aka dats, grps, iscripts etc etc that have been put into the map itself using a mpq viewer and applies them into starcraft, firegraft makes a exe that changes memory aspects of starcraft scmloader loads the files from the map but it is the exe so you see the problem how are you gonna have 2 exe programs run at once and besides if your gonna use firegraft or something along those lines your gonna be modifing everything so no point in using a single map loader

and with scmloader everything can be changed except for things that would have to be changed through memgraft and a new version of scmloader just came out today works with 1.14

ok change of news it looks like in the near future shadow flare is gonna incorpurate support for firegraft how shes gonna do it im not sure but this is good news

Thats good. I was worried there for a second. Because you cant change buttons without Firegraft or Memgraft can you...?
