This is my current map project that i am working on. It will be similar to other RPGs in someways but original in many other ways. For example i will have a join party or join forces with selection like in Diablo 2. Ofcourse i will have items and spells and i might have mana. The item System is going to be different and more orginized, it is one of my new original ideas. I wont tell you it so i dont reck the suprise. Here are some new features and some already used features (i will only reveal some of the new ideas i thought of)
1. World Map: I will be adding a world map like the one in FF7(real game for playstation) for an easier time to get around, so instead of having way points like in Diablo 2 which was my original idea i will use a world map. It has the same concept as waypoints but i find it more profesional and more convenient for the players. I got the idea of a world map from another topic.
2. Key Items: This is a new idea that i thought of...it's not a very big thing but it can and will be very useful.
3. Check Points: I thought of this idea not to long ago. The check points will be used as guidelines so you know your on the right track.
That is all of the new features that i will reveal for now wether i decide to tell it to the public or not. The story line of this game will be very good but i will not reveal any of it either. You will have to wait for it to be released. Im not sure when it will be released...it wont be anytime soon because it could take up to a year, but only because i want it to be perfectly flawless. If all goes well then the map will be a huge sucess (i hope) but if it doesn't go well in testing i will delete this project from my current projects list, i will not explain why because its pointless for you to know. I will be posting more updates on this games progress in the future.

lol yay there aren't alot of non team RPG's.
I hate games like that because usually you can't get a full game or people leave all the sudden.
The map sounds really good...hmm a world map...thats something you don't see everyday.

yea...its going to be pretty hard...cuz i dont rly know what im going to use to make it. Ill probably use square terrain or something but i'll figure it out.

How will this world map work? Is it like a small or medium sized island that kinda warps you to certain areas and towns?

Im making an FF map
it's hard you have to give the ppl waiting something to do. If u could get a 300x300 map u could make mini games and stuff for them....But u cant
O and:
RPG + Square Terrian + Final Fantasy = BAD!
RPG + Square Terrian = Questionable
RPG + FInal Fantay + Normal Terrian = Good
But i think u mean the world map i was just bored

I love FF type games. So is this going to be a mix of all the FF games with the main charactors of each one being able to be picked? Kinda reminds me of FF Plus but I like world map systems work alot better

I am going to have many more featuesthan i listed above. Like transport...Most uses of transport will be used i cant use all because i wont have enough space on map. My map is not square terrain...thats just for items area and for a few other things including the world map.
