Sweden is described as one of Europe's greatest economic successes due to its Social Welfare system. In fact, some people complain that our system should be more like Sweden's. However, the country is split on the decision with this year's election. One side says to stay on the current path of Social Welfare, but the other claims that the Social Welfare system won't last since unemployment rates are rising there. What do you think will happen? What do you think should happen? How do you think the country will turn out?

Care to explain what social welfare is? Is it like money hand-outs for food, etc?

It looks like Sweden will continue to succeed. It has extremley low poverty levels now, so any dramatic changes will be in the long run.
