i was wondering if i could place pylon aura spirits so that it looked as if a water level was rising/receding (or juts rising if that must be the case) is in looking at an ocean or river... following a water type of thing
Nope. Sprites can only be preplaced.

** It's Sprites not Spirits*
o, well that blows my whole drown-the-earth-in-water-if-the-heros-dont-beat-the-game-in-time idea.... o well ill just have to dream up some other stuff... thanks for your help
1 last question.... with these starforge places sprites of plyon aura... is that the same as their being a pylon for all play3ers so a probe could be build... or no... kinda newbish question but i dont have access to sc right now to test
No, it's just a image, you can't build on that glow unless there's actually a pylon nearby.
You were to move the sprites using the move trigger in the firsts version of SC but it was fixed in one of the firsts patches

o thats to bad

well thank you for your help neways... ill have to find some other way to make it look like there is a water line
Man that would be so awsome if your could thoguh like the nuclear explosion sprite would be great for bounds

i might have an idea for you... but its not as good as the pylon aura trick BUT u can make the water go up an down. just use bunched up observers they KINDA look like water and u can acualy give them orders to go up and down... u shuld give it a try u never no

I was thinking the same thing... Use some kind of unit that has a blue explosion. Although, a Corsair might be a "quieter" alternative to the Observer... (lol)
Yeah, but if we went to this older patch you would lose those At Least, At Most because it only have Exactly till 1.05 i believe.
Observers are ok, but Wraiths are fast and look nice and different! Maybe mix for a wave effect...
Why don't you try using scarabs, massing about 100 of them would be enough to create a wave.
