ok i made a mod that makes all of the protoss units and the photon cannon have the atk up to 5 units thing, trying to make them be able to atk 5 units at a time, why doesnt this work? do i need to do something diferent? is it possible? do i have to get into the unit codes and change it? if i have to do that last one, someone explain to me how i do that.

Can you tell us exactly what you did? I assume you edited iscript.bin, in that case, are you using Ice or IceCC?

Are you trying to get the glavewurm effect?Or just be able to attack 5 units at a time with the same amount of damage?

If you mean you want it to have a bouncing attack:
It'll only hit three times atmost. Set the weapon's missile behaviours to bouncing, and in the iscript editing program of your choice, add the 'bounce' animation ( most missiles only have Initial, Death, and Initial Ground Attack animations -- Glave Wurm has some extra one, that's the bouncing animation ) , and you're set. Important to note that each hit will only do 1/2 ( ? ) the damage of the last.

If you mean having it fire five projectiles at once in a scatter:
In your iscript editing program of choice, give it 5 attack commands, and set your projectile to 'Halo Spin' in DatEdit.

If you mean having it attack five individual units at once per attack:
If I remember correctly, this supposedly can't be done, though I seem to remember accidentaly getting it in my own mod once. Unfortunately, I don't have the version anymore and can't check, but I didn't do anything very special with the weapon or animation.

ok this is what i did

opend datedit

changed the max hits under weapons into 5 from 1

thats it.

what i want is

so i can have all protoss units, including heros and the photon cannon, even melee units to be able to attack 5 units at the same, dealing the same dmg to each 1

e.g. 5 zerglings surround 1 zealot and the zealot kills them all at the same time.

Sorry, but Max Hits doesn't effect gameplay in any way.

So far as I know, what you're trying to do isn't possible, unless you're some kind of insane God of all things scripting.

you know he could give the units splash damage atleast it would hit more than one
