I've been thinking about trying to do a campaign and I thought it might be cool to have those pictures (like in the single-player with the disk has) between the end of one mission and the briefing of another. I've searched the forums and the tutorials database and come up with nothing on whether you can do this or not. For the record I'm using just the regular StarEdit with the disk so if it's possible with another program, please tell me which one it is. Thanks.

Not possible without modding the game

um well you could, with picture mapper. You could have it go to the map that has the picture, then on that map have it wait like 20 seconds, then go onto the next map. Picture mapper is really easy to use, you just use a picture on your comp and it makes it into a map. Can be found on dldb->staredit programs

Modding the game would be more practical, especially since it's 1 player.

He meant the animations where you click on them and the missions window pops up, like the marine for terran, hydra for zerg, and zealot for protoss.

From what I interpretted, he means the image that is shown right before a briefing in a single player mission. Like showing a planet or something and some text near the bottom.

A lot of people apparently haven't played the single player missions in a while, lol. Ya, I think he was definitely referring to the full screen pictures before the briefing. No easy way to do it, but it would be cool if you could figure out how to do it with a mod.

Maybe he is referring to a cutscene?

i'm thinking he means the picture between missions. tells you the planet/location and gives you the name of the mission.

i'm not quite sure why lazycoder thought it was the campaign menu.

anyhow, not possible with map making programs. can you even do that with a mod?

as far as map making goes, the closest you're gonna get is what roryfenrir suggested.
