Is it possible to download certain files to make SCMD 2(newest version) work without actually installing sc on your computer? I ask this because I have tons of time left every other day in my web design class and I doubt I can install sc w/o them deleting it, but I have had scmd dled and everything for a couple weeks and theres no problem(except that it says,"fatal error: failed loading primary MPQ(stardat.mpq)" when I click 'ok' in the profile window) Is there anyway to fix that?

Tried:
-dling lots of required files from the dldb
-dling sc demo
-punching my monitor

none of which proved helpful. Please help helpsmilie.gif .

Define "required files".

Scmdraft 2 needs the graphic files located in stardat and brooddat mpq files otherwise it needs that functions. You need those mpq files. Then you will have to tell Scmdraft 2 where they are.

err, how would you go about doing that? something simple like putting them in a "/starcraft" directory, or program manipulation of some sort?

dump it in any directory, edit the profile and set the SC directory to where you dumped the files
