Fine. They're stealing the jobs we want.

@xszerg - Very touching, but we're talking about how illegal immigrants steal jobs, not about racism.

Let me say something: I'm all for immigration, but not for ILLEGAL immigration. I don't like people who aren't even supposed to be here stealing jobs and lowering the lifestyle of those who ARE supposed to be here.

They are stealing jobs that teenagers can get. Not adults. In New York City, without the immigrants, we are screwed. Plus, immigrants makes 75% of our UMS maps.

I'll say this. My parents are Illegal Immigrants to this country. The reason that they immigrated is why many come to the U.S. for a better life right? I agree that to many Mexicans are coming to the U.S and givig those who have worked hard to become a citizen, like my parents, a bad name, but that does not include all. The U.S is full of oppertunities for those who could not see it in Mexico. Our low wages is more money earned here then in their country. Also students come to the U.S because we have a better educational system than in other places.
There are those who come here to give their families a better life. To releive their families of debt that could not have possibly been paid in Mexico, and that same person has maybe 2 jobs working hard and is truely dedicated to gaining money. The only jobs we're stealing are the ones that others will not work in[the fields, which is probably over 90% immigrants working at a low wage]

Soo many problems would and could be fixed just by following my step two or one. That way we have mexicans and whites for our labor. We get money from them and they get equality with wages. But I do think step two is better.

I dont agree with any of urs pinch.gif . All we can do is wait for Mexico's economy to get better. Them and pretty much all of South America.

I don't have much experience, how hard is it to become a legal immigrant?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)Blu on 2006-11-04 at 14:15:16
Ten years is how long my parents had to wait. By the end of the ten years i think they will look at records and stuff, and see what u have been doing. +the ten years, you also have to pay! closedeyes.gif

If America is worth anything, I don't believe that. Someone who's on my side please verify this sad.gif.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Zero.oO on 2006-11-04 at 14:21:50
I have heard its taken people longer than ten years to become a legal immigrant, and when you can get across the border for free with either the option of getting a new job and getting alot more money or getting sent back so you can do it again wheres the choice?

I see how my three ideas may not work but how are they flawed? Not very flawed is the answer biggrin.gif. They will work but its whether American citizins will do any of those three or even a variation of those three. We can always just sit here argueing for years while illegaal immigrants flood across the border argueing about the problem but what can we do?

Report, edit, etc...Posted by Centreri on 2006-11-04 at 14:26:01
Oh.. 10 years? Then I'm neutral. If it's that hard, it's the governments fault, not the immigrants fault.

They steal the jobs but it's perfectly justified.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EcHo on 2006-11-04 at 14:33:45
It's easy to become a legall immigrant. All you do is take a test, memorize all 50 states, presidents, constitution, and bill of rights.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Centreri on 2006-11-04 at 14:38:39
No, that's to become a citizen. Legal Immigrant is different.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EcHo on 2006-11-04 at 14:43:04
Isnt it the same thing? Why would anyone want to become a legal immigrant. I think to become a legal immigrant, you have to get some green card.

Not to sound like a douche, but I'll tell you.

#1 The communism solution gives the government WAY too much power.

#2 You can't stop illegals from entering the country with just a wall blocking mexico. Because not all immigrants are mexican. And even if they were, if people in cuba are willing turn trucks into boats and sail to miami, then I think a few mexicans can get over a wall.

#3 The amount of money and man power involved in finding all the illegal immigrants and "shiping" them back just because of a misdemeanor, is ridiculous. Why not use that money and man power for something else instead?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Zero.oO on 2006-11-05 at 19:41:07
What you said about

#1 - If we the people need to be protected bad enough the government will have to do something. We could always try to do a voting communism too and keep congress and the courts. They will just be a Communist Congross and Communist court.

2# - Increase the Coast Guard get more radars and sonars to detect them. Though they are small if we try hard enough we can spot them. If we already built a wall you mine as well go all the way and increase the puddle jumpers.

3# - I thought it was the least effective harder and more costly operation, but that would probably please the public the best. If we had a competant president I am shure we could have had enough money to try to do this. By not spending money in the Iraq war and giving big lay off businesses tax cuts.

And no I don't think your a douche bag for trying to argue with me I encourage it.

Many illegals do pay taxes, but I read some where that those tax amounts are nothing compared to how much real american people spend on illegals each year. That same report said that the illegal's contribution to the economy does not compare or equal to the amount we spend on them. Something like 44 hospitals in California had to close because of the amounts of Illegals using them and not having health care etc.

The average American is taxed very little in a worldwide sense.

One doesn't need to pay taxes to contribute to society. These illegal immigrants contribute more to society than some full tax paying americans. If it wasn't for the immigrants, some of those hospitals wouldn't have been built in the first place.

Im not argueing here but how exactly would a hospital be functioning becuase of an illegal? jw

Lets break this down real quick.....

If we the people needed protected enough...... So are you saying that we are NOT protected now? Or we are peotected, just not as much as we should be. AND what do we need protecting from?

So, were going to spend more money to keep people out of our country.. that makes sence. But then (acording to some people) we wont have enough people to actualy work the feilds and bla bla bla and we would, aparently, have less money to spend. So..... yeah. No money to spend, no way that we can get all those nifty devises that you want us to get...

In this day and age, the president has very little say on what goes on. He can put an idea on the tabel, but it has to pass congrass and all that. The only reason that we even HAVE a president is becuse our style of government requiers it.

Im glad that you are open to "agument" or, rather, you telling the rest of us why you are right, and we are wrong. I Also am open to arguement. But I'm not about to tell people that i know everything, and they are "noobs" who know nothing.

Illegal imigration does steal some humans' jobs. Outsourcing is a major concern for the United States to take action against. I have not made my mind whether or not I am pro-open border or anti-open border.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Zero.oO on 2006-11-09 at 18:41:33
Its good to have the door open just dont tear down the whole wall so anyone can enter, and the Mexicans are trying to tear down the wall to get in. Either we put a bigger wall or get people on the wall or everyone will just keep on tearing it down.

1. Some of the workers who physically built the hospitals with their own hands, were immigrants.

2. All of those hospitals were built to meet the population around them. If there's too many people coming to a hospital, what the county does is try to ask the state for more money to build another hospital.

3. We do not have socialized medicine, hospitals still work sorta like a buisness. And I never heard of a buissness going out of buissnes, because they had too many customers. If a hospital shuts down, it's because of bigger reasons. Wether it be with insurance companies or the state/county not being able to fund the money for multiple hospitals. If immigrants do cause a medical problem, it's because they fill up hospitals, not make the ones that were built to accomdate them in the first place go out buisness.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Centreri on 2006-11-10 at 16:16:39
To be fair, if there were no immigrants there would be no need for more hospitals and immigrants would not be needed to build them.

FYI: New walls are being built U.S and Mexico's border. They are tall steel bars that are closely built to prevent jumping, climbing, and being cut.
