Alrighty then. I recently obtained a very annoying spyware worm, I was displeased with the frequency of me getting them so I decided to opt out of the traditional Windows lifestyle. I don't regret it.

Now I'm running Xubuntu Linux, but as a first time user of ANY Linux distro. I'm gonig to need some help from anyone with any more experience.

1) Occasionally it will randomly crash, any tips for this?
2) How do you take a screenshot?

Could be driver problems, not sure... Might want to check with a Linux support forum, or any tech forum that has a linux section..
And for the print screen thing, I'm pretty sure you can find a print screen button in a menu... can't you...? Not sure, why for that either.. I'm a newb with Linux too, but that's what YTE is for!

A class I'm taking, which I will be working with Linux, and networking.. hopefully to help me get my A+ certification.
You can't find it in like Applications -> Accessories? I never used Xubuntu, so I wouldn't know how that works... but I know you can do that in Ubuntu.. Pretty sure you can take screenshots through GIMP too.

File -> Acquire -> Screenshot.

I'm pretty sure like this.

Read some of this.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screenshot#KDE_and_GNOME

Some of it requires a little terminal work, not sure if you'll know how to do it if you're new to linux.

I read that already. Xubuntu is Xfce, not GNOME, or KDE.

Erm, I thought I posted a reply already, I guess not.. I totally forgot that Xubuntu used Xfce, but I don't know why you're using Xubuntu on your computer, it's made for slower computers. I bet changing your print screen key to like, your windows key would work...

Did you try it through GIMP yet..?
