just wondering put this seems like an excellent way to see how people watched it.
I watched it from SW:1 SW:4 SW:5: SW:2 SW:6 SW:3
Interesting topic.
I saw Episodes 4, 5, and 6 when they were re-released in 1997 (first time I'd watched any SW movie all the way through), and I LOVED em. Then I saw 1, 2, and 3 as they came out. I've come to like the ORIGINAL (no special edition stuff) versions of 4, 5, and 6 better than the special editions. While some of the polished special effects look cool, the tweaks Lucas made to the story in the newer editions weakened them, IMO (as he's trying to force them to fit the prequels better). I'd rather have a fantastic story than better special effects. ORIGINALS FTW
In short: 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3
456123... the only way to watch them.
I saw them in the order they were made: 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.
Same. As a little kid, I saw the Special Editions of IV and V when they came out, then saw VI on tape, then went to see each of I, II, and III as they were made and released.
It would be an interesting concept to watch I, II, and III without having seen the (later) movies, because you wouldn't know what was going to happen; that Palpatine was really evil, for example.
Heh I watched Star Wars everything in an interesting Order here:
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Heh but I watched them over and over again in order (well the prequels mostly)
4. 5. 6.
1. 2. 3.That was how it was for me, though I wish 1, 2, and 3 never existed.
I was really into the original 3 as well (somewhat in response to Doodan). When I saw the special editions of 4, 5, and 6 it reminded me of that South Park episode where the kids want to stop George Lucas and Steven Spielberg from making changes to their films. I couldn't wait to find copies of the originals in order to cleanse my mind of the travesty.
2. That's the only one I watched, it was relatively new. It made no sense to me, Starwars makes no sense to me either.. :\ But that might just be because I've only watched one of the movies..
That could have something to do with it. And how have you managed to only see one of them?
4,5,6,1,2,3 for me.

Just made it because even though each movie was released during a different decade or year people have watched them in different orders.

Yeah. You can judge a Star Wars fan by the order in which they've seen the movies.

Precisely the same for me. Unfortunately, the only part I really remember from seeing it re-released was the asteroid chase... Oh well, at least I can say I did
4-5-6-1-2-3
Thats the good way to watch it!
4-6-1-5-2-3.
I know, confusing.
4,5,6,1,2,3
So wait, you've never seen some of the starwars till the first one came out? I feel sorry for you

I actually saw 4 and 6 a week before I went to see Episode I. It was already out.
People with me saw 4-6, but I fell asleep before the end of 4 and woke up at the beginning of 6.

Heh actually I hated episode 4 at the beginnnig because it was soooo boring I mean droids walking around and luke walking around, not enough suspense for me
I dont like episode four though. Six is waaay better.
Anyways I guess its because I'm younger than the 20-30 year old people that I like the prequels more.
Erm, wow I'm special seeing that people watched 4-6, then 1-3
Star Wars VI : Return of the Jedi
Star Wars V : The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars IV: A New Hope
Star Wars I : The Phantom Menace
Star Wars II : Attack of the Clones
Star Wars III : Revenge of the Sith
Interesting fact. If you shortened
Return of the Jedi to - RotJ
Revenge of the Sith to - RotS
Lucas took the first and last words of Ep 6 and changed them up alittle. Which I found was strange, but then again I don't have any proof that it wasnt just a cowincidence.
