Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Units not attacking!
Report, edit, etc...Posted by OhManTfe on 2006-10-10 at 22:55:39
Hey everyone I've been editing Raccoon City trying to fix bugs so me and my mates can play it properly but there's this one bug that I can't fix. Player 7(computer) spawns units which are ordered to attack to a location but when they get there they won't shoot Player 8 (computer). Also the trigger is set for multiple players what I mean is the more players you have playing the more units spawn for P7. Yes they are set to enemies and they always shoot each other except for when they are spawned. Also I will point out this bug is random some games they shoot and some games they won't.

Anyway can you guys help if no solution is immediately obvious I'll send the map.

Thanks for your time.

Maybe they are neutral or they are allied to the enemies?

Make them enemies like make player 7 and the opposing player attacking. Use the "set alliance" trigger and then make them enemies with each other. either that or make sure that the computer isn't a neutral player.

Try preserving trigger after you made them enemies.

Use patrol instead of attack orders.

Ok well as I already said the computesr already attack each other so they are defintely set to enemy and how can plaer 7 be neutral if it is attacking anyway? As for the patrol idea that won't work because I want the units to spawn, get to their checkpoint, and stay there. Not start walking back. And no the trigger does not spawn them for a neutral unit it spawns them for player 7.

I think I may have to post my map...

As long as you have a chain of order locations using patrol should be fine.

Using an Order action (Patrol) from Location 1 to Location 2.
And using an Order action (Patrol) from Location 2 to Location 3.
