i want a way to make it so all of the civillian cars on the my map stop n the intersections (wich there are alot of) and wait for the carse on the other road to go passed them like a red light and a green light i had an idea for road blokers but i then remembered that i might use air units as cars (or mabe i wont, but it sure as hell would be easier if i did oh and here is the terrain if u dont want to explain it just do it for me



i decided to not give it out instead i want sum1 to say yes then ill put it up and then once he has ti downloaded i want it ill delete it because of what happened with scorpion and kaoskreator i dont want any1 stealing my idea!!!!(oh asnd if you do it right ill give you credit when it becomes a big time map LOL like that will ever happen)

That is something im afraid of attempting. I suggest you stick to something simpler. Or settle with something like that with very little organization.

The easyest way would to to make a gigantic loop of orders, using possably 100+ locations. But that could take days to make depending on how big your map is. And the slightest thing could thow it off. If you create a stop light not only do you have to do manage when it changes, but when all the other stop lights change (not at the same time). Then of course not all cars go strait so you would want some of them to turn randomly at intersections, you would also have a problem stopping them for red lights. You have to make triggers that can detect if there is a car infront of it so it won't run into the car infront of it and they line up in pretty lines. Then if your as picky as me you have to make triggers to prevent the cars from rotating while stopped.

Basicly if you want something even close to the detail im thinking of, you won't be able to accomplish it. Its not only the hours/days it would take to trigger but you have problems such as center locations, trying to get a location centered on each car is a challenge itself not to mention you have cars going both directions. If you don't center locations on every car then you will have problems with the colliding. Maybe there is another way to prevent collideing cars but it would be just as complex.

hey if its THAT hard then y dont u make a ENTIRE map about driving ????? like a street racing game and when u cross red light coppers chase u confused.gif

Cause that would suck. Difficult triggers do not make a map good, but many maps can be good without difficult triggers.

Making this is possible, but it is far more trouble than it is worth.

Actually I was attempting to make something like this before with a single traffic light kinda as a demo using only 13 locations but I messed up some trivial trigger and it wouldn't move the location to the units which were clearly there, so the triggers all stopped and none of the traffic even started moving.

sorry man... while it is possible the only logical way i see is to have that loop of orders... so unless your an average/advanced map maker and have a little 2 much time on ur hands, i doubt it may be done.. the road block idea would also be very hard to perform because of many obviouse things.. such ascars would just pile up behind it.. it will use up ur invinciblility things.. you still need 2 make it so that cars turn randomly... my friend knows how 2 make a random trigger but im not in contact with him now... anyways i doubt ull be able 2 do it sad.gif

oh crap lol i knew it would be hard wich is why i asked how to do it and now that i know how i shall and who needs to make the random thign i dont realy and besides i have 18 intersections so mathematicaly i would need around 30-50 triggers on that part and now that i say that i say screw it ill juss have the city in peril with the junkrard dog thing
