Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> SC Lag
Report, edit, etc...Posted by IsolatedPurity on 2006-10-18 at 17:39:02
I have never had a problem with lag while playing SC...
Up until now. Nothing really changed with my setup... I have cable, a router, and software firewalls... but I know how to manage everything more or less (setting myself up as dmz). It seems to happen on both computers, so I don't think I can blame a software firewall or anything locally.

I was playing a few games with Illusion just fine...
The next day I started having massive problems. Sometimes I wouldn't download the map in the lobby... or lag the game hardcore.

I haven't checked in the last two days because of my excessive downloading and uploading of SEN files, but I'm just going to assume it's still a problem.

Anyone got any ideas?

I'm having this since I changed my HDD. I don't see any reason for it, so I blame luck. Even Diablo2 isn't lagging lol. I've tried about everything. Had 2 topics here, 1 on Blizzard support forum and 1 on Majorgeeks. No luck so far lol. tongue.gif

I was having lat problems a while back, but I screwed with some router settings (under the guidence of almighty Voyager) and now it works.

Their problem is that it just lags a lot. They don't have lat.

My ping is 16ms and if im in a game of more then me and the host everyone lags out withing 5 minutes. Routers suck, and cannot ever ever be completely countered. However i have never tried setting myself up as DMZ, anyone mind running me through it?

Nah.

The username should be empty, the password should be admin..

So go to 192.168.1.1

Just type in "admin" into the password and log on. If that doesn't work then I'm not sure how much more I can help.
