Before I get the obvious "take it to the higher ups", I'm afraid this is about as high up as it goes (unless I was to contact the company that hosts StarEdit), and I don't want the site shut down.

A good while ago, one of our higher level staff members made a topic about "Psycho-Biological reasons for sexual preference". No evidence was presented for the claim (hormonal imbalances contributing to sexuality), but it was agreed upon as reasonable by those who had already come to that conclusion. I will not dwelve into the generally unscientific nature of this conjecture, I believe I (and rather poignantly, Rantent) have already said that well enough.

Recently Moose has taken the liberty to inform me via PM with the wonderful information that homosexuality is indeed biological and is related to (*gasp*) left-handedness!

I'm tired of this harrassing bullcrap. Books, studies, and yes, even those precious websites can be wrong. There is a thing called bias, even if it is yours. If homosexuality is biologically caused, a curable ailment of the human mind, I'm gonna jump off a bridge. Until then, leave me the hell alone. I don't care.

I've ehard this stuff before, but not from Staff. You guys should be better than that.

So it sounds like you're arguing that in a specific thread some people weren't persenting evidence for their claims? Why does this merit a thread claiming that staff members are immature? I'm not seeing why you don't just go explain in the thread in question that people aren't supporting their claims.

I said that IN THE STUDIES DONE, homosexuals are STATISTICALLY MORE LIKELY to be left handed. This could be 49% to 51% for all we know, but it HAS been shown IN THE STUDIES DONE. I simply found the topic interesting and decided to ask you out of curiousity. If you find this offensive and wish for me to stop, all you have to do is tell me that you don't wish to discuss this. (I'm assuming this is so.)

Homsexuality is NOT a curable disease, as (*according to what I've read*) it is determined via hormones (along with many other things in the human brain) before birth.

Well alright, but it's something of a touchy subject.

I just get the feeling that alot of this stuff is directed specifically at me.

I didn't know of anyone else to ask. All you had to do was ask me to leave you alone. I don't want to persecute anyone.

I NEVER said that left handed people are or are not gay/lesbians. I have claimed only that heterosexuals are MORE LIKELY to be left handed than heterosexuals. Please stop misinterpreting me.

I dont care what statistics or studies you've researched to come up with that answer, infact I dont give 2 crap's about who you are you have NO RIGHT to say anything about left-handed people being more likely to be gay then right-handed people.

He insulted me. No all the left-handed people on this site by even pointing it out. To me being left handed is like being a different race, there are so few of us around. My dad's left handed too and what moose said also points an insult at him, I lose my temper when people insult my father, even if that wasnt there intention.

Look it doesnt matter who you are, or what your born like, defects cant be explained with such things, genetics, left-handedness, and so on. It just happens. It's more God's will then anything, believe it or not thats how I feel anyway. I don't take such matters lightly. Oh course I'd want an apology but 1. I wont get it and 2. No matter what I say no1 will change their opinion on the matter. 3. I insulted him back and I'm not planning on apologizing so I don't expect him to eather.

Maybe I've misread... but it seems to me that you consider being homsexual an insult.

For some reason you've assumed a black and white view of this... I have said something is more likely, and you don't even factor in that maybe, just maybe you wouldn't be a part of the more likely (keep in mind that a majority of humanity is right handed, regardless of sexual preference, I'm simply claiming the ratio of right handed to left handed varies with preference). I never anything about you (or your dad) specifically.

I wish the people against Moose would stop being ignorant... He said Hetrosexuals are MOST LIKLEY to be left handed. And for all we know it couldbe false, but he has several sites to back him.

Cloud.... think of it this way...
Let's say 15% percent of humanity is left handed.
I am implying that if 15% of heterosexuals are left handed, there are 15% + (some small number) percent of heterosexuals who are left handed. This still means that a WIDE MAJORITY of left-handed people are heterosexual, and that a WIDE MAJORITY of homosexuals are right handed.
