Path Defense meets Spawn Defense

Download latest version here

Edit:
I make a lot of updates to this and my other maps, so I've decided to make an auto update program for them. Just save it wherever you want, and double click on it, and it'll automatically get the latest versions of all my maps. You can download it compiled or download the source-code and compile it yourself if you don't trust me. Both are available here.

I made it in AutoIt which you'll need if you want to compile it.

Off topic I'm thinking of releasing an auto-login, to. I won't bother if no-one wants it though.

Wanna tell us more about it? I'm gonna play it now, but generally speaking, some more information would be nice.

Basically, there is is a 96x96 map, with 2 teams (3 players each) and a spectator.

In the middle of the map, is buildings for making units, and a lights on/off.

On the two sides of the map are a bunch of nexuses. You start out with a defiler and use dark swarm to make a path through the nexuses. The AI also has a defiler, which it will try to get from the top of the map to the bottom. When it reaches the bottom, that team is finished making path. Once both teams are finished the defilers are replaced with probes, used for making pylons/photon cannons and shield batteries(which turn into missile turrets).

If you have 2000 or more minerals, you can drop one of the hydralisks from the shuttle where you want to buy a sunken colony or spore colony (really strong, good for killing high armor units).

When you make a unit, half of it's cost is added to your gas (except for protoss airplanes). It is then given to the AI, and teleported to the enemy team's side of the map, it then tries to reach the bottom of the map. If it's walled it will attack.

When an AI unit gets to the bottom of the map, that team loses 1 of their initial 10 lives.

When the enemy team has 0 lives left, you win.

Every minute you will get minerals (however much gas you have is how much minerals you get per minute)

You can have a max of 100 photon cannons and 100 missile turrets. If you make more, the excess will be removed and you get a refund.

If you try to buy a sunken/spore but it can't be placed there, you get a refund.

Ground units will follow the path. Ghosts are replaced with drones so that they don't go through the nexuses.

Air units will go straight down the middle. Use missile turrets to stop them.

This wasn't bad, though it takes forever to make a path. Oh and another thing that was kind of annoying is that the dark swarm can take out 3 Nexuses at a time if cast in a certain way. I accidentally clicked next to a group of them and all three of the Nexuses were destroyed.

I put up a new version, it fixes the bug with dark swarm removing more then 1 nexus at a time, makes it completely impossible to wall (even if the units don't stop and attack), uses buildings for lives now instead of powerups so they can't be picked up, and prevents the popular cheese tactic of using your probe to block units.

There's a new version available..
Fixed some possible exploits, improved the anti-wall system, fixed some balanced problems, and replaced the lurker/darkswarm system with corsair/disruption web.
Also the file size is a bit lower now.

Wow, nice concept. Well, it's not just the concept, it seems that map is really exciting itself! This is very original, and from what I'm seeing, idealistic. I'll download this right away tongue.gif

Now supports up to 8 players (4v4)
And you get to keep your corsair. It's useful for if you accidentally wall and want to get rid of the blockage.
