I'm not guessing on this... You might ask "why?" With 2 sets of data to base an answer off of, think of how many possible answers there are. I find this puzzle stupid and pointless. The last one was decent though, if you have a nice understanding of the English language that is. You people also need to work on grammar (har har I love that one! I am a moron; hear me roar!

) Just to be silly, here is a mistake. I like being a dork.

1. I am smarter than him.
What is wrong with this? How should it be written? Test your knowledge of the English language! (I probably have several mistakes myself; I'm testing dangerous waters here.)
ANSWER: I am smarter than he.
-Don't ask me the rule; I just know that if elongated it would read something like this: I am smarter than he is smart.

2. Here are a few sentences. Which one is written is written professionally? (Excuse me if that's not the correct term. Try this: which one is worded the best according to college professors? That should help you out!)
a. By Robert, I stood.
b. I stood by Robert.
c. By Robert I stood.
First off if you thought any were wrong, you would be incorrect yourself. They're all written correctly.
ANSWER: b. I stood by Robert.
Why? I don't know the name of the rule or what it says exactly. It deals with the location of the prepositional phrase. Go look up the rules yourself. I'm horrible at remembering rules, but I can write well (or so I tell myself). I couldn't care less (and it startles me how many people would say, "I couldn't care more," which is completely wrong in the context they're thinking of) what the rules say, as long as I can write well. There is your education to ward of summer stupidity. Ah yes, if you see any mistakes, please feel free to shoot me down for them. Thank you.
EDIT: How do you get 3 out of this?
