My suggestion is that we start a tournament of 64 competitors. However, it is not the first 64 that enter, but they must be nominated by others that consider them skilled enough. The tournament is simple, in each round, 2 randomnly selected participants will compete against each other. Participant A will go first in a bound and will be judged by how fast they can beat the bound, how many levels there are, and how many lives it takes them. After Participant A has finished, Participant B will go through the same bound and process. If the participant is unable to finish the bound, the total number of obstacles that the participant has completed so far by the total number of obstacles there are will be calculated.

Please begin nominating people who you think are good bounders now.

We will need about 10-20 bound maps that are pretty hard to be submitted.

Bound Maps

Paradise Bound
Still Bound
Scribe Bound
EmInEm Bound 2 & 3
Monster Bound
Viva La Bound
Marathon Bound 2
Jamaica Bound
Essential Bound
Kingdom Hearts Bound 1
Zoom Bound 2
CharM Bound
MisTeeq Bound
Puma Bound 2
Zanarkand Bound

*Note: These bounds are not in order of the tournament and does not mean that it will actually be used. However, some of these maps have stacked names so we will need some nice people to OSMap these files and rename the names so that they are not stacked.

Does anyone think that this will be a good idea? I certainly do. wink.gif

Always ment that if it was an idea for map making / mod making not on bounding tournaments, a moderator or admin wanna clarify that?

v_v gotta love the double post in the wrong section.

I do not think sen really supports bounding or even the word bound.
I think they censored it.

I dont even think that many people would want to enter, those maps you listed are preety hard.

It's basically my friend's list. Even so, that's now around ten people including myself.

I don't think that stategy will work, it should just be a tourney where people enter. I doubt many people even know many great bounders... None come to the top of my mind at the moment. At least none that are still doing it.

You have a very strange method of rating the participant. I would suggest the following:

The participant bounds a bound until he runs out of lives. You count the number of levels he passed and that's his "points". If he won the bound with some lives left, you give the guy additional "points" by this formula:

(number of lives left)/(total number of lives he got)=(reward points)/(number of levels in the bound)

I think you don't need to make it so complex like you did.
