Already got it from StormCoast-Fortress and it seems to be pretty straight forward. So easy to use, that is. wink.gif

Too bad is that we still can't a tiny improvement(s) over TrigEdit (and a few others) such as a line counter for instance. Or a string recycle handler process in which you told it what to reuse, for example. *Wink, wink*

well, reuse everything or nothing, why would you want halfway measures?

It keeps on crashing when I try to delete virtual sound files. Also, some of the virtual sound files won't even load. I'll press add and then close the sound editor and when I go back the sound won't be listed as uploaded. So pretty much you need to work out the sound editor and other than that its been working fine for me. clapping.gif

Well, I understand your argument about click colors so perhaps you could make it so that we type in <red> or whatever instead of <3>. I keep on screwing that up which colors are what numbers. dontgetit.gif

Edit: Well, I just commented a trigger and the string went to the sound editor. I deleted it there and then the comment was gone from the trigger.

I'll see about fixing the crahs on delete, I may need a map to reproduce the other bug tho

E: I think I got it. PMed you download link, tell me if its better

Well, it seems to be working now. Haven't seen any other bugs/crashes since you gave me the new one.

One more suggestion, can u make sure we can rename switches. I don't like having to write them down what they are.

Edit: Oops, my bad, didnt see you added so you could rename them

Ok, well further testing has revealed no crashes cool.gif

A couple small issues are still there. As I said earlier my comment strings keep on appearing in the sound editor as loaded up sounds. Not a big problem, but ya.

Another is that the trigger editor sometimes is giving me weird looks with the test I have highlighted. Again, not really a problem.

Other than that its been working very well. clapping.gif

Does the comment strings appearing in the sound editor only happen in the map that had the crash on delete before, or does it happen with a new map? I am guessing its an artifact from the last bug and wont occur in a new map, if it does tell me so I can squish it.

BTW: New string editor window layout

i think we're talking about different 'enter' things here. i'm talking about the listing where you select the action/condition you want. in SE, you can type the condition out and then press enter to select it. i'm nto talking about changing the number for an action, i;m talking about getting the action in the first place.

Oh, that I dont have atm. Staredit doesn't let me do it either tho.
Both let you press the first letter of the desired string tho as windows takes care of that
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Zeratul_101 on 2006-11-08 at 12:40:07
are you going to put it in?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SI on 2006-11-08 at 13:26:42
Since I dont exactly know what you are talking about, no.
You say you cann type in the name of a condition and staredit autocompletes it, however I dont see that happening. In staredit you can hit C multiple times to cycle through all actions that begin with C, that you can already do since windows handles it.

Ok, more testing. Whenever you do preview fog SCMdraft crashes. This may be because of you new permanent fog thing, which has been helpful places map revealers in the perfect spots.

About comments showing in the sound editor. That happens, but I didn't realize at the time that it is more like any string goes in a weird place. I'm seeing wavs in location. This is a pretty infrequent problem but I was slightly wrong on more first analysis of what was going wrong.

Does any map crash preview fog? because that works fine for me, it may be the preview in minimap... are you using null tiles?

As for the strings, does it happen in any map? I would assume its just a sideeffect of the one version with the bugged sounds, if its not tell me. Did you have the map open in SF? did it have recycled strings and you edited it in staredit?

Uhhhh one thing that will completely mess up the blending people. You can see a small line when making custom terrain so nothing blends. Just so you can know you also spelt tileset index wrong

You mean the map grid? Or the red line around the cursor?

Tileset Indexed means the tileset has been indexed which is correct. But I can see what you're getting at.

Sorry i guess i didnt notice the grid was on rofl. I have one suggestion though to this. Give us all the tiles in SC. It would help greatly. Its just a thought...

There already ARE all the tiles you can use...
If you want to use ashworld tiles in badlands, that's too bad for you, as it is impossible without modding.

How would it help anything? if anything I think it would be retarded and really hard to blend say ashworld into jungle or ice or whatnot but you could blend jungle into badlands tongue.gif
