Halloween is about embracing your darker side for one night, in order to better understand your light side. At least that's what I'd tell anyone who said that Halloween is against Christianity.

You can't adopt black cats or white bunnies in the time period around halloween because the pet shelters fear that the animals will be used in satanic rituals.

NEDM!

(YTMND fans will get the joke)

When I was 9 or 10 years old I wanted to bring "The Nightmare Before Christmas" to school as the movie the class watched that day. But the teacher wouldn't allow it, saying that some of the kids parents wouldn't want them to watch that movie.

Want chapstick?

Halloween doesn't have any sort of attraction for me. It's more of an American thing.

Traditional Halloween has as much to do with evil spirits as Easter Celebration with Jesus Rezzing. People need to lighten up, it's a harmless holiday where people go around asking for candy. Don't like it? Don't participate.

My teacher thinks that Halloween is a celebration of the Devil. I just don't care, because it's a usual day for me.

Halloween isn't so popular in our counof it's popularity, Halloween got a lot of adults pulled in. So I think the more popular the holiday, the higher is the middle age of people that celebrate it.

I define the entirety of the universe as God, and am, while not Christian, not atheist. wink.gif Mwaha, argue against that arbitrary placement of names!
Jokey! ... Agnosticism ftw.

Anyways, I doubt there's anyone on SEN that holds any beliefs about Halloween being evil.

At least, I wish this is what I could say. Because Halloween has nothing at all to do with embracing your darker side, it's just candy day sad.gif.

Isn't Halloween a Christian holiday? It's the day before All Saints Day or something like that...

Pretty much halloween is a holiday that suppose to scare evil spirits in christian fates saying that kids dressed up in costumes and pumpkins are suppose to repel of evil spirits and ghosts but other christian faiths think or is the opposite.

But personally I am agaisnt halloween but to my view im not like those "deep down" christians who say will try to say nasty things to those who participate but I do show respect but I dont want to be mixed in with that crowd.

Rather then wasting my time going door to door for candy. (And also watch out for candy that people spiked like adding poison and drugs inside) I just go to the store and buy a jumbo bag and woo hoo I don't have to freeze me butt off outside but whatever you guys can trick or treat but in my faith I don't. Nor do I celebrate christmas! biggrin.gif

No Christmas? ohmy.gif I love Christmas. Free presents.

And jumbo bags of 1-sort candy aren't that good. Variety = good. Plus, you get to dress up as your favorite supervillain.

I'm christian, but I don't trick or treat. It's for little kids who want to get fat from candy.

My point exactly. Its a lame excuse to give children fat food on a stick.
